Universal Orlando Resort turning 36, and my 27 Years of Personal History with it
My Personal 27 years out of the 36 years of Universal Universal Orlando opened on June 7th, 1990. 36 years of growth, new attractions, new food items, new hotels, and now its third theme park is hitting its stride right next to them. Universal has been such a part of my personal history that I needed to give it a love letter to the awesome property that has provided me some great memories over the years. I don’t remember the first time I saw the Universal globe, I am doing so

The Worst Rides in Orlando Theme Parks
Worst Rides in Orlando I did a best rides of Orlando list a little while ago, so it is only right to get a little negative about our lovely rides here. The further down the best rides list I got, the more my preferences began to show up. I am thinking this will be similar. Mission Space—Claustrophobic on top of a simulator with a tiny screen. I haven’t even done the orange mission, but the green is awful enough as it is. I haven’t ridden this attraction in at least 15 years

Ranking the Orlando Theme Parks
Ranking The Theme Parks of Orlando Orlando has some of the best theme park destinations in the world. From Disney World to Seaworld, they each have their parks that can provide a great vacation for families. Seaworld— This park’s Achilles heel every time I go is the operations. People walking in quick queue because there is no greeter. No grouper on the ride platform so it is just a free-for all. Time between ride dispatches are extremely long, leading to lines moving extreme

Best Theme Park Events in Orlando
Best Event in Orlando Theme Parks When I was growing up, going to Orlando theme parks was a huge event themselves. I was lucky enough to have parents that took me to Universal and Disney World about once a year. Some were field trips from our Florida schools, and some were just family vacations. I loved the parks so much that I just ended up moving here. Now, my relationship with the parks have changed. They aren’t huge events anymore. They are my third place when I am thirty

Best Rides at Universal
Best Rides at Universal Universal has been on a tear in the last seven years dropping amazing rides one after another. How do they stack up against themselves? In some order. Men in Black—An absolute classic at Universal Studios. I know the property is starting to get dated. Unfortunately, the last Men in Black movie gave the franchise its death sentence. Even with a dying property lineup, this shooter attraction is still the best in Florida. The physical sets are something t

The Best Rides at Disney World
Best Rides at Disney World Disney World is stuffed full of attractions. Some attractions are world-class while others are stinkers. There is a huge range when it comes to Disney World, so I am going to try my best to rank the best attractions at the resort. In some order…. These fluctuate so much, just depends on how I am feeling for the week. A few honorable mentions Dinosaur—I loved that ride and it got shut down for more IP. Tron—It’s short but very cool. Rain, Broken Animatronics, and Delays: An Epic Universe Experience
After many trips to Epic Universe, I have definitely been able to see the patterns that have emerged during the day. This park is still having plenty of issues. Rides being delayed, rides being closed for extended periods of time, and susceptible to bad weather. My last trip to Epic included all of those. They have adjusted their hours from 10 AM-9 PM from the original closing at 10. Losing that one extra hour in the evening hurts as this is a nighttime park, and this is al

The Strategy for the Best Day at Epic Universe
The Strategy of Epic Universe Epic Universe has some issues in operations and a complete lack of capacity has lines far exceeding what any one should wait for a Carousel or even a pizza. If you have an upcoming trip, and you have no express. Don’t worry about it. You can still have an amazing day at Epic Universe, you can try different food offerings, watch some shows, and even ride all the rides without a crazy pace. You don’t even need early park admission or express passes

Ranking the Harry Potter Attractions at Universal Orlando Resort
Best Harry Potter Attractions While I was waiting in line for two and a half hours for Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure, I though to myself. This is easily the best Harry Potter ride that Universal has ever made, and I think it is almost unquestioned at this point. I wonder how do the others stack up. So over the next week or two, I had friends come into town and we rode Forbidden Journey, Flight of the Hippogriff, the Hogwarts Express, Gringotts, and the Battle at the Ministry.

Dining on the Disney Wish: The Good, the Bad, and the Mediocre
The Food on the Disney Wish The Disney Wish is a part of the newest fleet subset on Disney Cruise Line. This brings more dining options to Disney Cruise Lines and new menu items that are delicious. I was able to go to every included restaurant, tried some DCL staples and ate as much as I could on my six nights on this ship. The Good The filet mignon at 1923 was one of the best items on the cruise ship. It didn’t taste completely mass produced and had a good flavor. The churro

Steakhouse 71 Review
Steakhouse 71 Review Walt Disney World is home to some great restaurants. Being a pack your lunch family for park days while growing up, we never ate at these restaurants. I didn’t realize how many I missed until I actually started dining out there. There were some incredibly themed, and some very good meals just hiding under my nose while I ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or ate at Cosmic Ray’s for a cheeseburger. The restaurant that really changed my view on Disney r

The Cycle of Orlando Theme Park Restaurants
The Cycle of Orlando Theme Park Restaurants Disney World is full of restaurants from the interior of Cinderella Castle to the bottom floor of the Animal Kingdom Lodge. These restaurants have a huge range of quality but a few of my favorites has been taking the same cycle. A fairly repeatable cycle that I have seen in my few years of dining at Disney World. The first restaurant that comes to my mind is the Grand Floridian Café. This was my family’s first try into the world o

Ranking the Main Dining Restaurants on the Disney Wish
Disney Wish Main Dining Restaurants Ranked I have now been on the Disney Wish twice with two small weekend cruises. I have eaten at all of their restaurants more than once and I feel like a ranking is possible. With Disney Cruise Line, they deploy a unique dining experience called rotational dining where your table and your servers rotate between a set of three main dining rooms. On the Wish there are Arendelle, 1923, and Worlds of Marvel. They offer three different experie

Training for a Half IRONMAN-"The Cheap Way"
My newest hobby is coming with a large price tag. I have just dove into this process for a month and I am inundated with buying decisions. An IRONMAN is something that has never been on my radar, I might add a marathon was never on my radar either until my brother gifted it to me for my birthday. Just so he wouldn’t have to train and do it alone while his wife was pregnant. I never thought I would have loved the training so much. I was the guy to skip the “optional” basketba

My New Year's Resolution Progress
How Is MY resolution so far? I love a good new year’s resolution. In 2025 I made around five or ten new resolutions to take into the new year. It ranged from locking in my fitness to playing piano, learning how to market my business daily, improving in chess, budgeting monthly, and learning how to play golf. I tried to insert all of these habits the first of the year and I figured I could hit those easily. As you probably guessed, all of these habits had different levels of s

A New Training Goal
Not many things gave me as much satisfaction as running a marathon at the beginning of 2025. I even got emotional, after all of that hard work, I was down to the last half mile with my family beside me running. There was also just something about improving in something. I started out struggling to finish three miles but in six months I was able to push myself across the finish line of a 26.2 mile race. Having that goal pushed me to wake up early to get my long runs in. Stay u

2024 vs 2025 vs a Projection of 2026
2024 vs 2025 I can’t believe I am entering 2026 now. It seemed like it was 2016 just a few weeks ago, and now. That is a decade. We are closer to 2050 than 2000 and it just makes me feel icky. The last two years have flown by. 2025 especially has been going at an incredible pace where I had to remind myself to grab my seat before the ride ended. 2024 was one of the most developmental years of my life. In the beginning of 2024, I ballooned up to my heaviest weight of my l

Is Epic Universe Worth the Money?
Is Epic Universe Worth the Money I have been to the newest theme park at Universal Orlando Resort over five times now. Some as an invited team member preview and some as a normal guest. This has been the first major Orlando theme park in over 25 years. Safe to say there was some hype surrounding this new theme park, especially in the parkhead communities that I am involved in. I was watching this place get built little by little. From patents being filed to the first dirt b

Preparing for the Disney Wish
Preparing for the Disney Wish My first cruise of 2026 was a last-minute booking on the Disney Wish out of Port Canaveral. Booked one month prior to the sailing date, I couldn’t believe there was availability on this three-night sailing. The last cruises I went on in 2025 were on the Liberty of the Seas and the Disney Magic. Two great cruises but on the older side. This will be a jump back into the 2020’s cruise ship style, and on a Disney cruise! I am taking my beautiful fian

Trying to Work on Blogs During the Holiday Season...
The Holiday Season in Business I have gotten away from this blog as of late, after a few vacations, finals week for school, catching up at work, and many other responsibilities this venture has fallen far down the list. Let’s catch up on time put in. The last time I checked it was 11/16-11/22. During the week of 11/23-11/29 I put in a total of three hours. Missing my goal by a wide margin, and not improving tiktoks or anything like that. During the week of 11/30-12/6 I pu
