HHN 35 House Hype List

This will be my 6^th year at the event, I have walked some great houses, and some disappointing houses. This year, I am super excited for it to open within the month. Some houses I am more excited for than others. While looking through the house lineup, I cant help but feel a bit disappointed in the original house CONCEPTS this year.

Evil Dead Burn—I haven’t seen this IP, don’t really plan on seeing it either.. Doesn’t really sound appealing.

Madlands: Caged Cannibals—Just a generic house in my opinion. Where are the goblins, the winter entities, the yetis?

Ozzy Ozbourne—One of the shortest projected waits for this season. Similar to the Wyatt Sicks house last year. A tribute to an icon we lost.

Cybergonia—Attacking robots. It just seems okay.

HellRaiser—When Universal gets access to iconic monsters, they usually do a fantastic job. Their classic Universal houses were some of my favorites when they did them.

Invasion: Alien Abduction—Alien houses like Depths of Fear or the Quiet Place are fun to see the huge puppets they use to make the aliens look “alien”

H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular—I love the classic Halloween houses. I am hoping it is full of original characters like the Slaughter Sinema house was a couple of years ago. Looking at the original list, I think this one could be better than some of the big IP houses.

Stranger Things 5—No matter what the thoughts are about how the ending wasn’t good enough for the show it was attached to, this is still one of my favorite TV series of all time. Each of the Stranger Things houses have been enjoyable so I expect nothing different with this one. The iconic moments of season 3 will probably never be topped, but I am still excited for this.

Jack and Oddfellow—The Oddfellow house from two years ago was very fun. Two Halloween Horror Nights icons in the same house together will be great, this is high on my must do list, and possibly the best original house at the event.

Sinners—My favorite movie from last year hitting Halloween Horror Nights the year after its release. I can’t wait to face the vampires and listen to the fantastic music attached to this movie. This house is the one I am most excited for, and one that I will try to get in repeatedly.

These top three are the must-do’s on probably everyone’s list. I can’t help but feel a bit disappointed on the original concepts this year. Aliens, robots, classic Halloween, Cannibals, HHN icon house. Will one be able to be as good as Dead Man’s Pier, the Yeti houses, or El Artista? I am not sure, none of them have those fresh concepts, this lineup feels more like a Howl-o-Scream house list.
