The Strategy for the Best Day at Epic Universe

The Strategy of Epic Universe

Epic Universe has some issues in operations and a complete lack of capacity has lines far exceeding what any one should wait for a Carousel or even a pizza. If you have an upcoming trip, and you have no express. Don’t worry about it. You can still have an amazing day at Epic Universe, you can try different food offerings, watch some shows, and even ride all the rides without a crazy pace. You don’t even need early park admission or express passes to do this.

Rope drop is a great way to knock a few rides off the list off the bat, it is basically a few fast passes for the land, but I am assuming you don’t have early park admission so this changes a few things. Everyone either goes to Nintendo World or goes to Harry Potter. These are the two most popular lands in the park, and the lines for Ministry, Mario Kart, DK, and even Yoshi Adventure will fill up.

The correct answer is the Isle of Berk. Knock out Hiccup’s Wing Gliders and the two supporting rides in the land. (If you like water). Hit the How to Train Your Dragon show for some great air conditioning and a mid-morning break. All of these attractions should be done in less than two hours depending on show times.

After Berk, you can move to Celestial Park. Knock out Stardust Racers, which is one of the BEST roller coasters in Orlando, and also hit Constellation Carousel. The lines shouldn’t be too long, Stardust is great at guest churn, and the carousel is a carousel. If the lines have gotten out of hand, skip it.

After these two attractions, go to Pizza Moon. This is one of the best quick service restaurants in Orlando as well. $20 for a pizza big enough for two people to share. Great a/c and fun theming. No wasted movements so far, after Pizza Moon, it is time for Dark Universe. All of this should be done in an hour and a half.

The theming at night time, might be better for this land but because it gets dark so late in the Florida Summer, it would be best to knock this out now. Wait the 45 minutes for Curse if you want to. It isn’t ideal but if you want to 100% this park, it is your only option. After Curse, knock out Monsters in 10 minutes. This land should be done in around an hour.

After this, you can go back to your hotel, shop around Epic, take in more of the experience. Back to rides at five or six.

Typically, the park closes at 10. So you have a few more hours to complete two of the most popular lands. Shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

Knock out the show in Harry Potter. The show’s story and effects are worth the watch. Not as fun as The Untrainable Dragon but still fun.

After that, we will skip the Ministry line for now.

We are going across the park, but we do pass Stardust Racers on the way there. Might as well do it again as it is amazing at night.

After, we are going to Yoshi’s adventure. This will probably be a 20-35 minute wait depending on the day and the time at 6 or 7. It is a fun ride to enjoy at nighttime.

745 or 8 now. 2 hours to go and three rides left.

Immediately go to Mario Kart, it is right next door and the wait time should be dropping below 30 minutes.

High end, it is 830. You can opt for a snack to push you over the next two rides.

Unfortunately, we have to walk all the way back to Ministry and hop in that line. There will be limited express during this time of the evening, and it should be less than 30 minutes.

Walk time, snack time, and ride time taken into account. We are probably at 930. With one ride remaining. This has been my strategy for all of my park days at Epic. Getting on Mine Cart Madness at 930 for a minimal wait, and then hopefully getting the chance to watch the fountain show.

This is the blueprint for a perfect day at Epic. The lines during the day and the early evening are not something you want to be a part of. It is very common to see all waits over an hour wait. To all drop below 25 after 8.
