The Worst World of Epic Universe

Worst Land at Epic
I just can’t ever get Epic Universe out of my mind. I recently wrote about my favorite land in the park, but now, I need to talk about my least favorite. Two have easily separated themselves as the worst lands in my opinion. I think one has separated itself even more.
The first of the two lands I want to speak about is Super Nintendo World. Although the theming feels like you have stepped into a video game (with too many NPCs) but I think it relies to heavily on a power up band to live out the full experience. If you take out all of the fun little games to play on the power band, it leaves a land that feels a bit incomplete. It needs an E-ticket attraction, Mine Cart Madness, and Mario Kart might be advertised with queue times like E-tickets, but they are not Monsters Unchained. Not even close. Yoshi is a cute ride, but during the summer rain, it is not going to be open much, the reliance on outdoor attractions in the lightning state of Florida doesn’t make much sense. It is also very short and very slow, I wish it was faster, under cover, and goes around the whole land. It has such good potential, but it falls short, and also the ride vehicles are already starting to wear down due to the sun. The Yoshi slushies underneath the attraction is $8 of pure assault on your tastebuds. Just pure sugar. This is a common theme throughout the land, the food and beverage is cute, but not very good. Another one of these is the DK banana ice cream float… The ice cream is great, but it is expensive, and the soda that is a part of this snack will burn your intestines with how carbonated it is. The surrounding area is full of life, with several figures moving, coins moving, noises everywhere. But the maintenance is falling short as some of the figures are static now. Maybe it is my least favorite land…
I guess the difference between Nintendo World and Harry Potter is small. These are the lands, I typically spend the least amount of time in. The Battle at the Ministry is marketed, hyped up, and has wait times for the best ride in the park… I didn’t have my hopes too high for the new Harry Potter ride, I don’t want to say it is the most disappointing ride in the park, but it definitely isn’t the best. The first section gets me sick and the heavier reliance on screens disappointed me. I will get on for a 30-minute wait, but the best part of the attraction is walking into the first section of the queue. The show in the land, is also not one of my favorites. The long preshow where you stand up in the middle of a crowd is slightly disappointing. I love the sit down portion, but the preshow lasts far too long. The surrounding land, is great theming, but I am just not a Harry Potter guy. I don’t have a wand to enjoy it to its fullest potential. The dining is nothing too amazing. The $20 butterbeer crepe is just too steep of a price to really enjoy. The surroundings are great, it feels like you are transported to another time, and it sells with how tall the buildings are. I remember during construction that the tallest building in Diagon Alley is the shortest building in Epic's Harry Potter version. I love that, it has incredible immersion.
I know I picked on these two a lot today, but these are both great lands with plenty of positive experiences to have. I love all of the worlds at Epic, and this was just some friendlier jabs to the weaker lands when compared to the better lands.
