This Week in Business 7/13-7/19
Another week under the belt with not much progress shown. I have just been so tired as of late. There were so many items I had to push through the week that this just fell backwards.
I got one of my first big paychecks from my travel agent commission. Third of it was given away but I wanted to lower my tax liability in hopes of growing it even more. One of the largest items I can do to improve is to improve the QUALITY of my posts on social media. These have taken the lazy way out a majority of the time. I just want to be ahead so I can coast for a few weeks but when I create them, I try to create them as quickly as possible. A microphone is something that I can improve significantly. Currently, it is a horrible phone microphone surrounded by a heavy-duty case where it just does not pick up nearly enough audio that I wanted. It is a good reinvestment towards the business. I will also be adding marketing costs back into the budget to try and bring in more business. I just have to create a marketing campaign which has not come to me as of yet. I have had a few kicking around but I really need to lock in better marketing materials on my social media to take advantage of that.
Here are my daily totals of work put in for the week. I have stayed consistent with posts and I have also purchased a microphone and it sounded really good. UNFORTUNATELY, I didn’t order the correct phone outlet, so I have to return it for a new one.
Wednesday 75 minutes
Thursday 67 minutes
That is a total of less than three hours. That is also my lowest of the year I would say. I didn’t create any content; I just didn’t do anything. I knew I let myself go last week but I didn’t know it was quite that bad. I have been worrying about a new dog, worrying about spending some money, resting from my family visit.
This is bad. I am completely out of my daily routine, and it is something that I HOPE can come back to. The typical five hours of work was low before but now, five hours seems to be a huge anomaly. New house, new dog, keeping up with hobbies exercise, chores, new routines. This summer was not the HUGE increase in production I was hoping for. With school around the corner, it is not going to get any easier.
