This Week in Business 5/25-5/31
Coming off the holiday weekend, which was FULL of activities, I have certainly started slow this week. Some of the activities were socially exhausting and others were physically exhausting. It really was a mix of all the things that can tire a person out. The goals for this week will be similar. Post post post and make some content that is more engaging. Try to solve more problems and be of service to others. Even with how tired I am.
I put some more tiktoks in the bank and when I looked up, I have a three week buffer now. The rest will have to be more creative tiktoks. Ones that I can post elsewhere as I throw everything at the wall to see what sticks. I want to be more creative. Show creative things while I talk about something I love. It has me ready to take a fresh look at this.
I love the consistency, but I need to switch up the types of posts. I need to be comfortable in front of the camera, I need to be comfortable using my voice to describe it, I need to be comfortable to open myself up and really talk about the hobbies that I want to build a life around. I love multiple different things, and I don’t want to pigeonhole myself into a certain type of content creation only. I want to be free to create. Not caring if it works out or not. I get to share my self-improvement journey, which includes my health, mentally, and physically. My hobbies with Disney, money, and football. With the different algorithms the views from tiktok won’t exclusively come should be sent to other platforms. So why not be yourself on tiktok and send them to platforms that are more concise in the content but still be the PERSON you are. Your likes and dislikes. Everything. It isn’t recommended to go this wide. Should be an inch wide and a mile deep for the money to be involved but what if I am authentic and my content revolves around doing what makes me happy. Not caring about the inch wide on this certain platform. There must be other people that loves self-development, Disney, and sports. Why not?
A few more days down and this ended a little bit less strong, and I stumbled out the gates during the current week but now it is time to wrap up this week. The final count of a little over five hours. Onto the next week. Not a bad week. I have a full weekend this next week of gathering content for more tiktoks. I have three weeks of posting ready to go and that makes me proud to see how far I’ve come. It has now been three months in a row of consistent posting. Still not having success in content game but I hit my sales goals for my travel agency for the year in six months. I am about 40% of the way to the next year’s sales goals which is just making me proud. I am just scratching the surface with income. I could see this growing into $20,000 in money in my pocket vs a projected $4,000 in the year. Subtracting out all of my onboard credit I’ve given the bottom line will be closer to $2500. It’s a nice bump of income that I also get to experience the benefits of travel agency next week on one of the newest ships on the Disney Wish.
I still have a rumbling in my stomach where I am not taking full advantage of my time. I have so many goals to hit and so much available time that I decide to scroll on social media or do anything other than hit my goals. Overall, it was a strong week with consistency and the five-hour sweet spot to create the bottom line per week, “keep the lights on” is a good way to put it but not much more than that. After five hours of work, I can become more creative. I have done a better job of commenting on posts and posting consistently on mine, but I need more creative content. More INTERACTIVE content. I posted one of my best posts last week where I got over 10k views and over a hundred comments. More of that. Less just B-roll how my trips are. Add value. Give tips. The bare minimum will not work.
