Building a Business Chapter 3/9-3/15

ree

Last week was one of the best weeks for me. I was exercising daily, doing well on homework, creating a buffer between me and not posting. Leading to a week where I worked more than 90% of the rest of the weeks, I have done in the last almost a year.

This week there is sickness all over my house. Flu, strep, and I have slowed down production. I have been cooking and cleaning like a mad man, it has been a rough few days. Hard to stay consistent with sickness. What I am proud of is that I still put in work. Day after day. Even though it has tired me out much more.

I started this week with excitement. On Sunday, I created four tiktoks and made some progress on blog posts. It had me feeling that this week was going to be one more week of great progress.

I continued the next few days with consistency and pushed through the tiredness to have an hour a day for the first three days. After that, I put in 40 minutes the rest of the week. Leading to a weekly total of 220 minutes. It was not nearly enough. I need to do at the very least five hours a week just to remain stable in the amount I post.  The consistency in posting is what I have been focusing on. It is a tactic that gets me in front of more eyes. More chances to improve as well.

Two big factors in the smaller work hours were an exam at the end of the week and the sickness in the house where I had to pick up the slack. Overall, it was a decent week. I maintained posting, I did well on a college exam and supported my partner while she was sick. Sometimes the balancing act will tilt one way or the other. I had good reasons to put the business in the back seat. My parents visit this next week and that consistently makes me extremely tired. Will we improve? Or still look to just tread water?
