This month in finances April

It is almost another month down and this month FLEW by at a pace that I barely had time to look around and enjoy. This month I got to experience a very cool Orlando moment where I got to visit a brand-new theme park before most people. I have also been loose with my wallet over the last month. I have felt more comfortable spending for sure. We will see if that affects my goals because I did have some added income from all sorts of things. Without any more delay let’s dig into the finances over the month.

This is an accurate amount as of April 24th, one more week for it all to go away. Currently I am in the green $900 saved for the month. I still have a grocery store visit, probably a gas trip, and I think that is about it. Couple odds and ends but right now I’m happy to be up.

My income for the month is $3100.98 and I don’t think I will be having any more checks come through. If I am looking this good at the moment I think the best thing to do is prepay some expenses. I have a cruise coming up, which is already paid for, but I have a big expense coming up that I can lessen the blow for. Moving. Everyone’s favorite thing to do. Maybe I can rent out the U-Haul now and let it be charged for this month so I can lessen the load of next month. I think that is the only large expense happening. Other than paying electric bills for two houses. I also have a Wi-Fi payment that I need to cancel so I don’t have Wi-Fi to an abandoned home. It’s a shame I have to cancel early; I was able to get such a good deal for it. The autopay is on May 15th, so I need to have it canceled by that day. The only other issue I see in my finances is the $500 in entertainment. I was spending money all over the place. One of the worst months in spending. It was up and down. When I get a few extra dollars of extra income I start to slide a bit into my money saving strategies. It looks like it will be $19.95 plus gas and extra mileage to move me. Probably $150? I’m trying to shoot for high end. Another move…. I love the extra hit on income during these days. Also need to feed a village of people because it seems like a lot of people will be helping us.

The entertainment amount was just way too much for this month. Well over $600 is a non-sustainable amount of money. I also paid for an oil change, some other items but these next few months are going to be the hardest months with moving fees and other items I need to keep up with. Overall, I hit my goal of saving $500 a month even though it should have been more. Onto the next month with some savings in my pocket. My expenses started to rise once I got a little more income this month. Not sustainable.
