Welcome back to this monthly edition of prepping for the Disney marathon. Last month I did 5 runs which isn’t quite enough for the training plan or the actual marathon. Did I improve or fall off the wagon some more? Here are my counts.
7/1/24. 2.12 miles. 33:06. Total 15:33 pace
7/4/24. 2.18 miles. 34:54 total. 15:57 pace
7/7/24. 3.01 miles. 50:07 total. 16:37 pace
7/10/24. 2.06 miles. 35:41. Total. 17:16 pace
7/21/24. 2.02 miles. 33:31. Total. 16:32 pace
7/24/24. 1.94. Miles. 32:10. Total. 16:34 pace
7/28/24. 4.01 miles. 1:04:36 total. 16:05 pace
A little bit better than last month with 7 runs. With running on top of walking at work has me starting to lose weight. I have been trying to lose it as quickly as possible to help my pace pick up. I still am in the 15-17 pace range which means I will be running/WALKING for a LONG TIME on race day. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 7 hours. I will be running and walking with my brother and father so that is the pace we wanted to pace ourselves at. It’s going to be a long day for sure I could probably push into a higher pace for myself, but I do want to experience this with my family. I will try and get faster in my next marathon, depending on how this one goes. I’m a bit scared for race day but I will get it done.
